Corner sofa: couch on the left or right
This decision is made once and for all. Spend five minutes on it, not five seconds.
The side of the couch - left or right - is specified when ordering, and there is no extra charge for a mirror layout: the sofa is still made for you. But it will not be possible to change it after production, so five minutes will pay off here.
How is a party defined?
Pretend to sit on the couch and look at him. Couch on the left means that the long part on which the legs are extended will be from your left hand. This is the only definition in which there is no confusion.
The error occurs when the side is called when looking at the plan from above or at the photo - there the left and right are interchanged.
Four things that decide
- —Window — the couch under the window covers the window sill and the radiator
- —The door and the passage - the corner should not stand in the way that is walked every day
- —TV - lying on the couch, you should see the screen, not the wall to the side
- —Outlets - the side you lie on is the side where the phone charges
Tape check
Take the dimensions from the characteristics and lay out the contour on the floor with masking tape - both options, one after the other. Then walk around the room as you walk every day.
These are fifteen minutes that replace the imagination. In most cases, after this, the question is removed by itself.
If not sure
Look at modular models: they have a corner made up of separate parts, and the side can be changed by rearranging, rather than ordering a new sofa.
It's a trade-off—the modules are heavier and require a flat floor—but it takes the decision away from you forever.
