A sofa over 300 cm: when it is worth it
A large sofa solves the problem of "sitting everyone". And creates the task of "how to enter it."
Three meters of sofa is not just more seats. These are different logistics, different geometry of the room and other requirements for the floor under it.
When width is really needed
- —A family of four who watch something together every night
- —A living room that receives guests regularly and does not have a second place to sit
- —Open layout, where the sofa works as a border between zones and has to keep this border
When not needed
If the sofa is next to the wall in a 16 m² room, three meters will eat up the entire wall and leave the room without options for the future. Two armchairs plus a 220 cm sofa work more flexibly in such a room.
And a large width does not add depth: if you want to lie down and not sit, the question is decided by the corner part or the depth of the seat, not the length.
