In an independent unit, each spring sits in a separate fabric cover and compresses on its own. The mattress repeats the shape of the body point by point: the shoulders and pelvis sink deeper, the lower back remains supported, and the neighbor in the bed does not roll into your hole.

The more hardness zones, the more precisely it works. The number of zones of a specific model is indicated in its characteristics - there you can see whether it is a reinforced block or a classic one.

Questions and answers

How many hardness zones are needed?
For one sleeper of average build, the difference between five and seven zones is almost imperceptible. It becomes noticeable when two people of different weights sleep on the mattress: more zones mean more chances that both will get their support.
Do such springs creak?
The independent block differs in that the springs are not interlocked and do not rub against each other - there is no reason to creak. The sound attributed to the mattress almost always comes from the base of the bed.
