Ceramic is the only tabletop on which you can place a hot pan without a stand and cut vegetables without a board without leaving a trace. It does not absorb moisture and does not have joints that swell - these are the ones where LDSP deteriorates first.
The price for this is weight and price: a ceramic table is noticeably heavier than a glass one and more expensive than a laminated one. The selection includes round and rectangular, collapsible and monolithic models; dimensions and length in the unfolded form are indicated in the characteristics of each table.
Questions and answers
- Can ceramics crack?
- From hot or from a knife - no. It can crack from a point impact on the edge, if something heavy and hard is dropped on the corner. In daily use, this is unlikely, but it is worth moving the table for the frame, not for the tabletop.
- How to wash a ceramic tabletop?
- Any ordinary non-abrasive product: the surface is non-porous, stains are not absorbed into it, so a damp cloth is usually enough. Powders and metal sponges will not add anything, but can cloud the gloss.
