An extending table settles the central contradiction of a kitchen: on an ordinary day it should take as little room as possible, and at a celebration it should seat everyone. How much room does an extended table need?
Take the length when extended from the model’s specifications and add 70 cm on each side — that is a chair plus room to walk behind it. If the room does not have that, there will physically be nowhere to extend the table.
Where is the leaf kept?
It depends on the model: in some tables the leaf folds away inside the top and stays with the table, in others it is a separate panel that has to be kept somewhere between celebrations. This is stated in the description of the particular table — go by that.
